VIU – NED CHAIR IN GLOBAL NEUROSCIENCE AND SOCIAL CHANGE AWARDS TRAINING GRANTS TO PROFESSIONALS IN ZANZIBAR

The Chair of Global Neurosciences and Social Change of the International University of Valencia and the NED Foundation continue their work to promote social change in disadvantaged environments through the development of scientific, training and dissemination activities related to global neuroscience and the study of its impact on social change. To this end, it has created a training grant program specifically for professionals residing in Zanzibar, where the NED Foundation has its headquarters.

These grants will take the form of two types of Fellowships; the first type of grant has already been awarded and assigned to Dr. Mulhati Abdalla, the first female Neurosurgery resident trained at the NED Institute in Zanzibar, which started on July 1st.

As for the second modality, a grant will be awarded to two neurosurgery residents attached to COSECSA to carry out a rotation in two Spanish hospitals (Hospital Univ. de la Ribera and Hospital de Alicante) for a duration of three months distributed in both centers.
