NED Training Grants

Training Grants for African Health Professionals

The NED Foundation invites applications for training grants aimed at supporting African health professionals working in low-resource health systems. These grants are designed to provide opportunities for skill enhancement, capacity building, and knowledge exchange to improve healthcare delivery in under-resourced settings.

The grants may cover participation in specialized training programs, short-term courses, workshops, or fellowships in relevant fields. Applications will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis, considering the alignment with the Foundation’s priorities, the applicant’s professional background, and the specific needs of the healthcare system where they work.

Eligibility Criteria:
  • Applicants must be healthcare professionals currently working in Africa within a low-resource healthcare system.
  • The proposed training must demonstrate clear relevance to improving local healthcare capacity.
  • Priority will be given to initiatives in neurosurgery, neuropsychology, or related specialties.
Application Process:
  • Complete the general application form, providing a detailed description of the proposed training and its expected impact on local healthcare.
  • Include a current CV, proof of professional qualifications and all relevant documentation.
  • Applications will be considered based on the Foundation’s available resources and priorities at the time of submission.
