The following volunteers traveltred this month to Zanzibar (Tanzania) in a new Multidisciplinar mission:

Dr. Vicente Rovira Lillo (Neurosurgeon), Dr Hector Ruperez Caballero (Traumatologist), Dr Javier Orduna Martinez (Neurosurgeon), Dr Concepción Cortes Navalon (Intensivist) and Mr. Nicolas Escolano Periañez, Mrs. Loredana Saez Ruano and Mrs. Esther Martinez Cozar nurses.

They made neurosurgical and orthopedic interventions, assistance in the intensive care unit (ICU) for postoperative patients operated by the neurosurgical team, follow up and treatment ward, the exit of the ICU patients operated for neurosurgery; a course in basic and advanced cardiopulmonary resuscitation to the responsible staff for the ICU operations, care and treatment of patients admitted to the ICU during their stay in hospital.
