This weekend a new group of volunteers have traveled to Zanzibar (Tanzania) after the official opening of the new Institute.

The mentioned group is made up of Dr Luis Gomez Perals (Neurosurgeon), Dr Yanire Sanchez Medina (Neurosurgeon), Dr Mª Teresa Sanchez Medina (Plastic Surgeon) and the nurse Mrs. Sandra Rabadan Orduña.

They arrived yesterday, January 17th, and today Sunday they have already performed the first surgery (photo illustrating this article) and visited more than 50 patients.

Thanks to the coordination of Amparo Molina, first grant-holder of the “Toni Gómez” scholarship, this historical beginning in the life of the institute has been possible.

How great and brave you are Amparo!: how much effort, enthusiasm and generosity … …Asante Sana

The greatest tragedy in life is not death, but a life without purpose (Miles Munroe).

There we are!!!!
