APRIL 2015

 

April began with a new mission Neurosurgical bound for the Mnazi Mmoja NED Surgical Institute coordinated by Dr Claudio Pérez Piqueras (Neurosurgeon).
He is accompanied on this trip: Dr Mª Teresa Martinez Verdu (Anesthesiologist) Dr Cristina Lopez Barcelo (Neurosurgeon) and Mrs. Mª Teresa Carrasco Bustos (Nurse).

Patients were assessed in the consultation room with neurosurgical pathology. Review of patients visited / treated by previous missions. Scheduled surgeries. Collaborations with hospital personnel on consulted cases. Training of local personnel.

On the 26th, a new Neurosurgical mission began its work at the Institute. Coordinated by Dr Mahmood Qureshi (NED Medical Coordinator for Africa) included Dr Gilbert Mwaka (Anesthesiologist) and Mr. Morris Githeiya (Nurse).

During their stay they evaluated the patients in the consultation room with neurosurgical pathology. Review of patients visited / treated by previous missions. Scheduled surgeries. Collaborations with hospital personnel on consulted cases. Training of local personnel.

Para finalizar, llegó a la Isla nuestra misión No-Médica compuesta por Dª Antonia Martínez Gosálbez  (Coordinadora de Proyectos No-Médicos), Dª Rosa Gadea Martínez (Coordinadora Taller de Costura y Manualidades), D. José Andrés Martínez Luciano (Coordinador del Área Docente), Dª Faouzia Erradi Dahbany y Dª Pilar Fernández González.

Finally, arrived on the island our Non-Medical mission composed of Mrs Antonia Martinez Gosalbez (Project Coordinator Non-Medical), Mrs. Rosa Gadea Martínez (Coordinator Workshop Sewing & Crafts), D. Jose Andres Martinez Luciano (Coordinator of the Teaching Area), Mrs. Faouzia Erradi Dahbany and Mrs. Pilar Fernández González.

Their work focused on the development of the Project in Sebleni, without forgetting the ties that unite us with the Mazizini Orphanage.
