From 13-17 November 2023 the NED Foundation is sponsoring and organising a new course on Advanced Anatomy and Diagnosis of the Human Brain at the NED Mnazi Mmoja Institute in Zanzibar. This course is aimed at any medical professional interested in a comprehensive review of the anatomy, function and pathophysiology of the human brain, primary care physicians and specialists, nurses and other health professionals. The course will offer theoretical sessions and practical workshops and will feature internationally renowned speakers.
Led by neurosurgeons Jose Piquer (President of the NED Foundation), Paul H. Young (Honorary President of NED) and Mahmood M. Qureshi (Honorary Vice President of NED), this course expands the training offerings developed by the Foundation to improve the education of health professionals from low-income health systems.
