INTENSE ACTIVITY OF THE NED FOUNDATION IN SUMMER 2010

During the months of July and August the Neurosurgery, Education and Development Foundation (NED) has continued with its program of projects in East Africa.During this time, several teams of specialists have traveled to Sudan, Kenya, Tanzania and Zanzibar with the aim of consolidating the presence of NED in the region. FIRST HUMANITARIAN AID CONTAINER

NEW MISSIONS SUMMER 2010

  The Foundation has organized a new Mission during the  July and August, 2010. The mission began on July 15th, the day the first volunteers left for Sudan. Volunteers and patrons Dr Mahmood Qureshi (Neurosurgeon), Dr Jose Piquer Belloch (Neurosurgeon), will visit the following centers: Police Hospital (Madani), Neurospine Center (El Ribat), hold meetings, organize and participate in the 8th Endoscopic Workshop .

HELP US TO DENOUNCE THE INJUSTICE WITH MOHAMMED

  Dear NED Friends, MOHAMMED HAJI is a doctor at the Mnazi Moja Hospital (Zanzibar, Tanzania). He survives with a salary equivalent to 100 euros a month for marathon days. A tireless worker, a discreet and humble man, his unique character and good work define him. Undoubtedly, he is the best coordinator and assistant that NED has had in his tours of East Africa during the last four years. It has been our great supporter when few believed in our project. He is, without a doubt, “a great man”.

UNIVERSITAT DE VALÈNCIA DONATES 25 COMPUTERS TO THE NED FOUNDATION

  The Neurosurgery, Education and Development Foundation (NED) has received a donation of 25 personal computers from the Universitat de València. This award, promoted by the Computing Service, has been possible thanks to the collaboration maintained by both institutions and will serve to create several computer rooms in hospital centers on the African continent, the main field of action of NED.

NEW MISSION FROM NED TO TANZANIA

From November 15th to December 6th, 2009, six volunteers from the NED Foundation, Dr. Yanire Sánchez Medina (Neurourgeon), Ms. Paula Gómez-Ullate Fuente (Scrub Nurse), Dr. Anad Vaswani Dadlani (Anesthesiologist), Dr. Pedro Antonio Pérez del Rosario (Neurosurgeon), Mr. José Luis Camarero Galdón (ADE) and Dr. Luis Francisco Gómez Perals (Neurosurgeon) of Santa Cruz de Tenerife, will travel to Tanzania, with the aim of developing the neurosurgical care that started this summer at the MNAZI MOJA HOSPITAL in Zanzibar.
