SOKO

2013

A Solidary Market (SOKO in Swahili) was organized from December 11th to 15th, 2013 at the ground floor yielded to NED on Avenida del Puerto, 47 of Valencia, from 11:00 to 21:00 hours

As on the previous occasions, the SOKO has been divided into several sections:

  • Design and firsthand articles.
  • Second hand articles.
  • Items made ​​in Sebleni (Zanzibar, Tanzania).
  • Coffee shop and elaborate meal.

It has enjoyed the cooperation of many volunteers who participated: collecting and donating paintings, furniture, handicrafts, carpets and endless objects of great quality, as in mounting the exhibition and sale of articles, which has been a great success.

2012

It was organized, this time taking advantage of a period of good weather, in a wonderful setting: in a garden with lots of charm and “hearth” in the street Senent Ibáñez 37 Massarrojos (Valencia), in the road to the cemetery .

It has been open on Friday 29th and Saturday 30th June (10:00 to 20:00) and Sunday, July 1st from 10:00 to 14:30.

As on the previous occasion, the SOKO has been divided into three sections:

  • Coffee shop and elaborate meal.

2010

A Solidary Market (SOKO in Swahili) was organized during December 11th,12th and 17th, 2010 at La Casona (Rocafort -Valencia).

The SOKO was divided into three sections:

  • Design and firsthand articles.
  • Second hand articles.
  • Coffee shop and elaborate meal.

It was assisted by many volunteers who participated: collecting and donating paintings, furniture, handicrafts, carpets and endless objects of great quality, as in mounting the exhibition and sale of items. Also noteworthy, the coffee shop area where there was a varied amount of high-quality recipes, prepared by our staff and volunteers.
